It offers a sharp action with a sense of tension when cast. It also offers just enough flexibility to keep the hook tip in place the instant a bite is detected. These two actions are mutually exclusive. A flexible rod is required to effectively keep the hook tip in place. This is a basic tackle designed for use with low-stretch lines such as PE and ester lines.
