In the 20 years since the birth of the first CERTATE, we want to deliver the philosophy that has never changed to as many saltwater anglers as possible. CERTATE SW is a model designed specifically for CERTATE's saltwater, which is designed for use in the natural environment of the sea and has been refined for its functions.
Starting with the air drive design, which is the design concept of the next-generation spinning reel, the aluminum full-metal monocoque body, and the mag shield, DAIWA's unique cutting-edge technology that supports the basic performance of CERTATE is followed. Inheriting that bloodline, it is pursuing the indispensable performance as a saltwater-only model.
The first thing we wanted was rigidity and power. The target is blue, shiira, and perch that are premised on the use of PE line No. 2~3. In such games, you are sometimes forced to interact with bigger players than you can imagine. In order to cope with these problems, the monocoque body has been enlarged and the large-diameter drive gear stored in it has also been thickened. In addition, the engine plate that supports the gear drive unit has been thickened to ensure that everything is perfect. As a result, the ideal gear engagement is maintained even when winding with high loads, and a powerful winding power with extremely little loss is realized.
These optimizations are not limited to body units. In the front unit, the ZAION rotor has been enlarged and thickened, resulting in a stiffness increase of about 39% compared to the same CERTATE (compared to the LT5000). Assuming the use of large lures, the bale uses a manual bale return to control inadvertent bale return during casting and prevent accidents.
In terms of waterproof performance, it has been enhanced compared to the previous model 21CERTATE SW. When used in the sea, the risk of salty water entering the reel is much higher than that of freshwater. Due to the wave cover and sea breeze, there are many opportunities for intrusion. In order to prevent this, the waterproof packing of the handle attachment part has been improved. The synergistic effect with the mag shield of the pinion part achieves a high level of waterproof performance.
