The Aventa RS Chiquita is a technical feathered reel made of natural cedar wood, the smallest in its class, that inherits without any compromise the dead slow performance of the Aventa RS, the ultimate dead slow feathered reel made of natural paulownia wood, and is also capable of handling medium to high speed winding.
Although the Aventa RS Chiquita is small, less than 5cm in size, it uses cedar wood to achieve performance that is comparable to the paulownia wood that is synonymous with the Aventa RS. Cedar wood is a natural material unique to Japan that has high buoyancy (light specific gravity) comparable to paulownia wood, but is also highly durable, water-resistant, and strong enough to be used as flooring in Japanese buildings, and is used in famous crankbaits that have made their mark in American history. During the development of the Chiquita, the size of the body is overwhelmingly smaller than the Aventa RS, at the level of a small cicada, so the same paulownia wood would not grip the water well, and at the same time, it would not be strong enough to maintain the wings and eyelets. After carefully examining and selecting various natural woods, we decided to use cedar wood, as it has the right balance of ``water entanglement'' and ``texture'' to prevent it from breaking on the water surface, and ``strength'' to firmly withstand resistance.
