For Megabass, the X-80 platform was re-engineered into a saltwater-exclusive minnow with internal construction changes. To avoid being brand-engineered by simply reusing a bass lure body, we refined the Minnow's identity as a sea bass-specific minnow, introducing the exceptional rolling and off-track action created by the unique humpback form of the X-80 body into the world of the ocean. The X-80 Saltwater version was repeatedly tested in the Metropolitan Bay area and Osaka Bay, and with the setup of "front body: low center of gravity, high specific gravity; rear body during center of gravity: tungsten weight," it achieved an astonishing super long distance cast that would no longer be considered a super slim body of just 80mm, cutting through headwinds. The weight setting is set to a "slow sinking" setting, which sets it apart from a simple sinking plug by allowing the sea bass to hit the effective range during feeding time without excessive float or sinking and for long traces. Once you use this weight setting, you'll be able to feel the results with certainty.
