"Custom Frame for 2500C" is a new design and fully supervised by Simon Shimomura, a master of classic ambassador research and restoration, and finished with MADE IN JAPAN quality.
The "contact" between the thumb and the thumb bar is an essential part of this frame.
Both the chrome and gold are mirror-finished, and the gold is plated with 24K gold.
Based on the design and ideas of Simon Shimomura, Japanese reel manufacturer Isuzu Kogyo is in charge of design and manufacturing. After strict quality checks and supervision by him, this custom frame is assembled by hand one by one with the processing precision unique to Japanese products.
[Strengthening and weight reduction]
The structure of the thumb bar, which was a weak point of the original frame, has been reviewed and reinforced by screwing the connection points with the left and right inner plates. In addition, the offset stand has been designed with a thicker center of the pillar to reduce distortion and wobbling.
As many parts as possible from the original frame have been replaced with aluminum, and the chrome and gold have been significantly lighter, weighing approximately 30g and 27g respectively, compared to the original frame's weight of 52g.

A newly designed stand has been adopted, which was devised in the process of improving and strengthening the 5500C/6500C frame. The assembly position has been set without compromising the beauty of the exterior, resulting in an offset of 2.66mm from the original frame. This improves the fit when palming, and greatly reduces the strain on the thumb when operating the clutch.
